Application for IESCO New Electricity Meter Connection
To apply for a new connection online, you need to access the ENC (Electricity New Connection) system or the online application portal. The IESCO new connection application form consists of five steps, each containing its own sub-steps.
Ensure that you fill in all required fields accurately to prevent any complications. Here’s a list of documents you will need before applying for a new connection:
- A copy of an IESCO electricity bill from a neighbor
- Proof of property ownership
- One attested copy of your CNIC
- One attested CNIC copy of a witness
- Wiring contractor’s test report for your home

Islamabad Electric-IESCO New Connection Process
Step 1: Open the ENC online application portal on your computer.
Step 2: Click the “apply” button on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your neighbor’s reference number in the required field. Other fields, such as your neighbor's name and address, the distribution company name, and the corresponding sub-division name and code will auto-fill.
Step 4: Select the appropriate load details. If applying for a domestic connection, choose 5 KW; for other connections like industrial or commercial, select above 5 KW.
Step 5: Choose the type of connection. For residential, select “Domestic.” For commercial, agricultural, or industrial connections, select the corresponding option.
Step 6: If you live in a rental property, choose “Tenant.” If you own the house, select “Landlord.”
Step 7: Accurately fill in your full name, along with your father’s or husband’s name.
Step 8: For citizenship, select “Pakistani” and enter your CNIC number and address.
Step 9: Provide your mobile numbers. Enter your personal mobile number in the first field, and provide another mobile number (such as your father’s or husband’s) in the second field.
Step 10: If you’re applying for the new connection, choose the same contact details as above to auto-fill the fields.
Step 11: For premises details, if you already have an electricity meter installed, mention it here; otherwise, enter “0.”
Step 12: Specify your load requirement for the new connection and provide the address where you want the new meter installed.
Step 13: List the appliances you use at home. For example, if you have one AC, mention it and select the quantity in the next tab. After that, provide the load consumed by the appliances. You can add more appliances by clicking “Add Row.”
Step 14: After filling in the form, the next step is to upload all the required scanned documents by clicking the browse button.
Step 15: Review the form and the terms and conditions for the IESCO new connection request form, then click the “I Agree” button. To submit the form, enable the captcha and enter the required numbers, then click the “Submit” button.
How to Check IESCO New Meter Connection Status
After you apply for a new connection, you will receive a tracking number. This tracking number allows you to check the status of your IESCO new connection application.
Step 1: Go to the ENC (Electricity New Connection) portal by clicking the button.
Step 2: Click the “Track” button on the left side of the webpage. A form will appear with two options.
Step 3: Choose the first option to track your new connection application, or select the second option if you want to monitor a name, tariff, or load change application.
Step 4: After selecting “new connection,” enter the distribution company’s name and your tracking ID. Since you’re applying for a new connection from IESCO, select IESCO from the dropdown menu.
Step 5: Enter the tracking number you received during your online application submission.
IESCO Demand Notice
Once you submit your new connection application, the IESCO ENC team will thoroughly inspect the entire application process to ensure everything is in order. They will monitor essential factors such as the length of the service line, conductors, and other necessary equipment for the new meter installation. A demand notice will be issued once all requirements have been assessed.
The application tracking page will show the status as “Review completed” or “Pay Demand Notice Fee.” You can then download your demand notice voucher through the ENC portal.
How to Apply for IESCO Demand Notice Online
Step 1: Go to the ENC Portal.
Step 2: Click the “Print” button on the left side of the page.
Step 3: A form will appear, prompting you to choose the application type. Select the new connection option.
Step 4: Enter your new connection application tracking number and click “Submit.”
Step 5: A demand notice form will open, allowing you to “Download” or “Print.” Review the form and select your preferred option.
Note: To expedite your application, pay the demand notice fee at your nearest bank.
How to Submit Demand Notice Online
After paying the IESCO new connection fee, you can apply for a demand notice online. To do this, you must have a scanned copy of the paid demand notice fee.
- Visit the ENC portal.
- Select the “upload” option as indicated.
- Set the application type as a new connection.
- Enter your tracking number and click the submit button.
- A window will prompt you to upload the scanned copy of the demand notice. Upload the file and click the save button to submit your demand notice to IESCO management.
Note: If you pay the demand notice fee on time and upload the document on the ENC portal, your new connection will be installed within 15 days, as per the official procedure.

The fees for the demand notice include both fixed and variable charges. The variable charges depend on factors such as the length of the service line, the type of connection (single-phase or three-phase), and the location (Rural or Urban).
